$5 "kobe beef" hot dog and $4 french fries cooked in truffle oil with a tomato garlic aioli. Part of Fahrenheit's Happy Hour menu. Both of which were very good.

This was the best carpaccio I have ever eaten - charred beef tenderloin served with frisée, wild arugula and "tonnata" sauce.

Sweet & Sour Chicken http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=758 Sweet & Sour Chicken
This China Sea offers great lunch portions for under $5. Sweet & Sour Chicken was all white meat with a nice crispy batter. The hot oil on the table is always good too.

Chynna @ Hilton Kuala Lumpur http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=757 Chynna @ Hilton Kuala Lumpur
Stepping into Chynna @ Hilton Kuala Lumpur is like going back in time. The theatrical ebony and red décor, upholstered wall panels, antique furniture and authentic Oriental touches. Start your meal with long-spout tea poured and refilled at every table. Choose from such star-quality creations as steamed shark’s fin or ‘phoenix eyes’ goose-liver dumplings or sautéed sliced beef tenderlion in Mongolian sauce. Or enjoy a late-night supper the old-fashioned way - with a steaming hot bowl of congee.

Great first "lunch out" in 2008. Nice big portion and was very spicy (which is how we asked for it). Chicken sautéed with tomatoes, onions and bell peppers along with Basmati rice and a plain Naan bread.

Spicy Chicken Karaage at Sonomama http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=752 Spicy Chicken Karaage at Sonomama
Had this just today at Sonomama Japanese Restaurant at 980 Granville St. Due to lack of foot traffic, sadly they will be closing next week after only being open for 1-2 years which is tragic cuz its one of the better Japanese restaurants in downtown Vancouver!

Bread Papa Cream Puff http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=751 Bread Papa Cream Puff
The best cream puff you will ever eat. I had 2 in one day. This new store (a franchise actually) recently opened in Richmond BC and the line up is long but so worth it. I could eat half a dozen but would probably die of a heart attack seconds after the last one! I am not kidding when I say this is the best cream puff eva!

Bamboo Charcoal Ramen http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=750 Bamboo Charcoal Ramen
Delicious and hearty Japanese ramen served at new authentic ramen house called Motomachi Shokudo. Had this with bff last week and it was one of the best noodles I have ever had. The room was modern and a nice ambiance and service was good. I cannot wait to return to check out their other ramen variety.

Dungeness Crab Cakes http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=749 Dungeness Crab Cakes
We ducked into this place mostly to get out of the rain. What a find! Relaxed atmosphere and great food. This is like a Benny, but taken apart. Two dungeness crab cakes, topped with two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, with the English muffins served on the side. Great combination of flavours.

Two dogs. One with kraut, one with chili and onion http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=747 Two dogs. One with kraut, one with chili and onion
I found this place on my birthday, picking up a new puppy with my girlfriend. What a great birthday miracle! I had never heard of this place before, so I didn't want to jump right in with two chili-dogs, so I got one with kraut. I should have got three with chili. Delicious meal! The fries were good too; krinkle-cut and crispy. Both hotdogs were excellent. Sabretts with a good, spicy chili sauce, and the kraut was good too. The only problem I had was the fruit punch I ordered to wash it down. It kinda tasted like Smarties candies. But at the end of the day, nice place, good service, good hotdogs, happy birthday me!

Two dogs. Chili and mustard. And a Lime Rickey. http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=746 Two dogs. Chili and mustard. And a Lime Rickey.
Two delicious Sabrett-style, natural casing hotdogs with their special chilli, which is more like a spicy onion relish really. I like it with a bit of mustard and wash it down with a Lime Rickey (Lime soda with grenadine-not the same as a Shirley Temple; much better). Boulevard drinks is, without a doubt, the best hotdog restaurant in Jersey City. It has been there, across from Journal Square, since 1949 and I eat there at least once a week. I've eaten there twice this week. Matta'fac, I may have eaten there three times! Two doors down is the famous Landmark Loews Jersey movie theater that shows classic films once a month for $6. Grab a few dogs before going in and a popcorn and you're still under the price of admission at a multiplex, and the movie you are about to see is GUARANTEED to be good! The last movie I went to there was Sunset Boulevard.

Texas Benedict http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=745 Texas Benedict
Biscuit topped with fried chicken breast topped with bacon topped with fried egg topped with sausage gravy. Even as much a glutton as I am, I couldn't finish this sunofagun. I left the buscuits, but did my best on the rest. The potatoes were a bit, how do I say this... cremated. And there were a lot of little bits that I didn't want to eat. Plus... I mean just potatoes in the deep fryer. Gimmie some good homefries with onions and maybe some hot peppers and this'n gets another star! All in all, It hit the spot and I had a great brunch and a great time (despite the DJ and his disruptive behavior. He actually screamed out a cuss word in the middle of our meal!)

Wall Drug donut and coffee! http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=744 Wall Drug donut and coffee!
Anyone who has drivin I-90 through South Dakota can attest to the fact that it's Prett-neat IMPOSSIBLE to miss Wall Drug. There's hundreds of signs, so you kinda have to stop just to see what it's like inside a place with such an advertising strategy. Well, don't let anyone tell you it's not worth it. That's negative energy and you don't need that. The donut and coffee in this picture are worth the stop. Maybe even the whole TRIP! Five cent coffee. Fresh baked, maple frosted, cake donut. Delicious. One of the best donuts I've had. I even had a half dozen donuts in the car when I started out that day and I still knew that one more couldn't hurt.

Crab Crazy! http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=743 Crab Crazy!
This is a great place to eat if you are in the Douglassville, PA area. The Main Event at this place is the "Chesapeake Pretzel." That's a hollowed out soft pretzel, stuffed with crab salad, and topped with cheese before heated in the oven. To wash it down Donnie and I had a chili dog and a Texas Tommy (dog with bacon and cheese). The whole meal was excellent. A good hotdog right when you need it can be like a long drive with all green lights. Almost like winning the lottery. This was one of those hotdogs.

Stuffed Pork Loin http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=742 Stuffed Pork Loin
Don't come here if you're put off by tattoos, piercings, ironic t-shirts and hats, but that's the only reason you shouldn't come. Yes the Doug Fir is hipster run, and attracts a mostly hipster crowd, but the service is excellent, prices reasonable and food is fantastic. Three pork loins stuffed with cherries, apples, hazelnuts and goat cheese. The pork was tender, perfectly season and not too "goaty", as many goat-cheese dishes can be. My wife dove in and didn't stop until the plate was clean. I'd consider that a five-star meal.

Crunchy Trout http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=741 Crunchy Trout
Pan-fried trout, coated with an almond breading and drizzled with sweet mango sauce and topped with a chunky salsa. Trout was nicely prepared and the mango sauce was a great counter-punch to the spicy coating. I'd eat this again. Delicious.

Cedar Mill Platter http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=740 Cedar Mill Platter

Croque Monsieur http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=738 Croque Monsieur
The Doug Fir is a hipster bar, and hipsters usually piss me off. But it's happy hour at the 'Fir, and I need to get happy. $4 drinks and $2.50 appetizers equals "I don't care what you wear, start pouring and don't stop." A surprisingly tasty sandwich with Black Forest ham, bechamel and melted gruyere cheese. I say surprisingly because, well, I didn't think hipsters could cook.

Space Needle Scramble http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=735 Space Needle Scramble
I love eating at diners, so when I spotted this one I had to stop in. It's 8:00 on a Sunday morning and already there's a line-up, a promising sign. Not exactly sure why they pay homage to a Seattle landmark 400km to the north; for the veggie sausage maybe? Whatever the reason this scramble was awesome. Eggs were fluffy, cheese nicely melted and spinach not too soggy - great combination of flavours. I question just how veggie the sausage really was (it sure tasted like meat) but other than that I dug into this dish with gusto.

Chocolate Milkshake http://www.mealme.com/browse.php?mealid=736 Chocolate Milkshake
Great shake. Super-thick and full of flavour. The only reason it doesn't get five stars is because they didn't top it with whipped cream. A flagrant violation of the Milkshake Code of North America, but I'll let it slide this time because it was so tasty.
